My Style: I have been described as warm, accepting, empathic, and authentic in my approach. I hope you find me sensitive, affirming, and encouraging.

Professionally

Therapeutic Support: I have worked with children and families for over 25 years in multiple settings. I have been a clinical social worker for  20 years and my work has been the greatest privilege. My clinical lens is informed by multiple theoretical orientations and my approach is eclectic to meet the needs of the individuals I am working with. I have certification in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Clinical Supervision and Urban Leadership, as well as additional training in Trauma-Informed Care, Solution-Focused Brief Therapeutic Intervention, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I partner with people to help them honor their space in their relationships with themselves and others and assist people in learning emotional language and behavioral understanding to transform their life. As a clinical social worker, I am trained to meet you where you are at, assist you in identifying and utilizing your strengths, and I will offer unconditional regard to you as a person seeking support to improve your life.

Consultation, Education, and Supervision: I have worked on amazing interdisciplinary teams throughout my career at both tertiary and community hospitals. I embrace serving as your colleague, consultant, and partner in understanding to help you find support, evolve, problem solve and enhance your professional best practices.

On Equity Partnership: I honor the collective and individual experience of each person. I have had the awesome fortune to practice in various settings where I have worked with people from a multitude of cultures, ethnicities, and races with different abilities, and across the sexual and gender orientation continuum. This has been a true gift. I hold intersectionality as my approach to understanding systems, as well as the individual complexities and experiences of each person. I practice cultural humility and work to continually grow and understand systems of oppression and my participation and role in change. I strive to be more than an ally, but someone who is actively working to address my role as an equity partner in language, approach, change, and understanding in myself, in my home, in my business, and in the greater community. I will value you and I am open to feedback to continue my personal and professional growth, as well as strengthen our working partnership.

Personally

I love spending time with my family and friends traveling, adventuring, cooking, reading, biking, hiking, enjoying music, and being creative.
